Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

AudioTranscribe Pro is operated by Deverhurst ("we", "us", "our"). If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@deverhurst.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google or email, we store your name, email address, and profile picture (if provided by Google). We do not store your Google password.

Audio files. Audio files you upload are processed in memory and via Google's Gemini API. We do not permanently store your audio files. Files are deleted from our servers immediately after transcription completes or fails.

Transcripts. We store your transcription results so you can access them from your transcript history. You may delete individual transcripts at any time.

Usage data. We record transcription activity (timestamps, duration, credits used) for billing and analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand usage patterns; this may collect anonymized page views, device type, and similar metadata.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. Stripe may collect billing details according to their own privacy policy.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide the transcription service and process your audio files.
  • To manage your account, credits, and billing.
  • To improve the service through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics.
  • To respond to support requests and feedback.
  • To send important service-related communications (e.g. security alerts).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your audio or transcripts for advertising.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate AudioTranscribe Pro:

  • Google Gemini API — processes audio for transcription. Google's privacy policy applies.
  • Google Cloud Platform — hosting and temporary file storage.
  • Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies.
  • Neon — database hosting for account and transcript data.
  • Google Analytics (GA4) — anonymized usage analytics.

5. Data retention

Audio files: Not retained. Deleted immediately after processing.

Transcripts: Retained until you delete them, or until your account is deleted.

Account data: Retained while your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting support@deverhurst.com.

Cached results: Transcription results may be cached for up to 30 days to avoid redundant processing. Cache entries are automatically purged after expiry.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data and account.
  • Export your transcripts (available via the app).

7. Security

We use HTTPS for all data in transit, enforce strong authentication secrets, and follow security best practices for our infrastructure. However, no system is 100% secure. If you discover a security issue, please contact us immediately.

8. Children

AudioTranscribe Pro is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
